A woman who helped run an incestuous child sex ring in   Alabama   for years was sentenced to 219 years in prison today, the maximum penalty in her case and an effective life sentence. Wendy Holland, 35, was convicted last month of a host of charges, including sodomy and sexual abuse,  the  AP  reports . She "showed no emotion" during the sentencing, which reportedly ensures she'll serve at least 50 years before an opportunity for parole arises. The horrifying details  via Alabama.com : Holland   and Brownlee were both convicted by separate   Baldwin   County  juries for sex crimes late last year. In both cases, victims testified about the horrifying sexual acts they were involved in since young ages. Prosecutors have since said the sexual abuse spanned at least three generations within the same family and that the defendants, in some of the cases, might have been victims themselves more than 30 years ago. Pope Francis has said there are limits to freedom of expression and that following the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris “one cannot make fun of faith”. On a plane from Sri Lanka to the Philippines, the largest Catholic majority country in Asia, the pope said freedom of speech was a fundamental human right but “every religion has its dignity”. Asked about the attack that killed 12 people at the offices of Charlie Hebdo – targeted because it had printed depictions of the prophet Muhammad – he said: “One cannot provoke, one cannot insult other people’s faith, one cannot make fun of faith. “There is a limit. Every religion has its dignity … in freedom of expression there are limits.” He gestured to Alberto Gasparri, who organises papal trips and was standing by his side, and added: “If my good friend Dr Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch. Pakistani Muslims today called for the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists to be hanged for drawing the Prophet Mohammed on its latest front cover. As worldwide protests continued for a second day, nearly 300 people from a religious group rallied in the eastern city of Lahore, carrying placards saying ‘Down with Charlie Hebdo’. One banner read: ‘Making blasphemy cartoon of the Prophet is the worst act of terrorism. The sketch-makers must be hanged immediately.’ Cartoonist Renald Luzier, who drew the image, had argued earlier this week that there should be no exceptions to freedom of expression. The rally came as Pakistani lawmakers staged their own demonstrations outside parliament after passing a resolution condemning the image of Islam’s prophet in the French satirical newspaper. A man was arrested after he was caught having sex with a donkey. However, the man told a court that he paid a woman for sex, but she somehow turned into a donkey. 28-year-old Sunday Moyo of Mandava, Zvishavane, Zimbabwe, was arrested after being accused of bestiality. The man was brought before Magistrate Mildred Matuvi. A police officer on routine patrol caught Moyo performing a sexual act on the animal inside his yard about 4:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning. The donkey had been tied and was unable to escape the abuse. In court, Moyo admitted committing the crime, but told the judge a story that got everyone in court laughing. Moyo said that he did not realize he was having sex with the donkey until the officer stopped him. “I had hired a prostitute at DownTown night club and paid her ZAR220 ($20) for her services.
