The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State on Saturday arrested four males and two females with a fresh human head with blood still dripping from it. The six suspects identified as Adebayo Afeez, Amidu Ogunjimi, Sherifat Mufutau, Taibat Lasisi, Waheed Wahab and Oyeniyi Oyeniran were arrested at Iware in Afjio Local Government area of Oyo State. Some items like three vehicles:one Infinity car without registration number and two Mazda cars with registration numbers UA 518 KJA and DE 902 BDJ, fresh blood and some tools used in carrying out the act were also recovered from the suspects. Investigations revealed that the shrine where the suspects were arrested and the head recovered had between 8 – 10 rooms and also had an underground tunnel leading to the shrine from the back. The state Public Relations Officer, Mr Olusegun Oluwole who confirmed the arrest, said that the suspects had been brought to the NSDCD headquarters in Ibadan and investigations still

Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has revealed why she has been quiet and why she stayed out of the media glare. A 24-year-old high school math teacher is accused of having s*xual contact with two students in her classroom and exchanging inappropriate texts and unclad photos. Meredith Powell, who taught at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, allegedly performed oral s*x on a 15-year-old and, in a separate incident, had s*xual contact with a 16-year-old while the rest of the school was attending an assembly last month. Court documents obtained by KIRO claim Powell admitted her illegal behavior, though she pleaded not guilty on Friday to two counts of third-degree child r*pe and one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes, according to the News Tribune. The court documents say Powell also allegedly sent one of the students a unclad photo of herself in a bathtub through Snapchat. A pastor who heads Helicopter of Christ Ministries in Kenya has been accused of charging people money to check if their names are in the book of life, a Kenyan website reports. Pastor Wahome charges Sh 1,500 (2,848.46 NGN) from anyone who wants to know about this mystery. This is not the first time the pastor will be accused of fooling his church members and the public, as he also did something similar in 2012. In 2012, the pastor wore a particular garment and said whoever touched it will be healed of any sickness just like the woman with the issue of blood, in Mark 5:21-34 who got healed after touching the garment of Jesus. He also charged Sh 1,200( 2,278.77 NGN) for this. Shockingly a lot of people flooded his church to receive their supposed healing and are still running there to see if their names are in the book of life.

15-year-old  Wei Caiqi , the niece of Chinese dancing star Yang Liping, twirled nonstop for four hours straight during China’s New Year celebrations. The annual China Central Television (CCTV) gala was aired live on January 30 and watched by 704 million viewers across the nation. Wei, clad in a white gown, spun on a special stage as the rest of the festivities went on. Her performance was meant to represent ‘the passing of time and the changing of seasons’. Two brothers, Kunmi and Adeniyi Adetokun died within days of each late last year in Oyo state and family members say it was after they slept with their uncles’ wives. The uncle, (pictured above) is accused of killing the brothers with a deadly anti-adultery charm commonly known as Magun. He was attacked and nearly killed by irate youths following the d***h of the second brother. He is lying critically ill in a hospital in Ibadan. Tribune  reports the full story. Kehinde Williams, a 12- year old pupil was alleged defiled by four men who are her father’s tenants and now she is pregnant. Kehinde was defiled repeatedly at different times mostly on her mother’s bed by Shaibu Isiaka, 29; John Obah, 30; Vincent 28, who are now in police custody while the remaining one identified as Idris, is currently on the run. Twenty policemen and an ex-militant leader sailing on two gunboats narrowly escaped death yesterday when they ran into an ambush by unidentified gunmen who opened fire on them along the creeks of the Niger Delta in Peremabiri Community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The policemen were said to have been detailed by the State Commissioner of Police, Hillary Okpara, to escort the ex-militant leader, Comrade Eris Paul, popularly known as General Ogunboss, to his community in Peremabiri when the attack occurred. It could not be immediately confirmed if there were casualties from either side following the gun battle, but it was gathered that a bullet pierced the bulletproof vest worn by the ex-militant leader during the attack, according to a report by Thisday. US President Barack Obama has restated the resolve of his government to support Nigeria in the ongoing effort to end terrorism. Speaking, Friday, at the 62nd National Prayer Breakfast meeting of the Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans (CANAAN) held at the Washington Hilton, Obama said; “I have pledged our support to the people of Nigeria, who deserve to worship in their churches and mosques in peace, free from terror.” In its response, CANAAN said it welcomed Obama’s pledge to continue his support for Nigeria in its war against terrorism.
