Attack On Buhari Aimed At Causing Riots In North So Military Can Take Over – Asari-Dokubo

Founder of the disbanded Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo, has reacted to Wednesday’s attack on former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) in Kaduna, saying it was a plot to push the military to take-over power. In a  series of conspiracy tweets via his handle @asari_freedom, the ex-militant leader claimed that the plan was to ‘kill Buhari to push the North to riot and cause calamity, so the military can take over from GEJ’, in reference to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Alleging that yesterday’s attack was just the beginning of more to come in a bid by desperate northerners ‘to grab power’, Asari advised leaders of the region to take a stand and expose those behind the insurgency because according to him ‘Boko Haram will kill you even if you support them’. Ebola virus disease-Facts

Key facts Ebola virus disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever, is a severe, often fatal illness in humans. EVD outbreaks have a case fatality rate of up to 90%. EVD outbreaks occur primarily in remote villages in Central and West Africa, near tropical rainforests. The virus is transmitted to people from wild animals and spreads in the human population through human-to-human transmission. Fruit bats of the  Pteropodidae  family are considered to be the natural host of the Ebola virus. Severely ill patients require intensive supportive care. No licensed specific treatment or vaccine is available for use in people or animals. Ebola first appeared in 1976 in 2 simultaneous outbreaks, in Nzara, Sudan, and in Yambuku, Democratic Republic of Congo. The latter was in a village situated near the Ebola River, from which the disease takes its name. Genus Ebolavirus is 1 of 3 members of the  Filoviridae family (filovirus), along with genus Marburgvirus and genus Cue

Innocent Person Almost Put To Death

Anthony Porter In 1982, Porter was arrested for the killings of two Chicago teenagers. Several witnesses, including some who had been robbed by Porter, implicated him in the crime. Porter was sentenced to death. Porter filed for several appeals during the following years, which got his death sentence pushed back several times. In 1998, just 48 hours before his execution, Porter’s sentence was pushed back again due to evidence he may have been moderately retarded and incapable of understanding his punishment. In 1999, the wife of the real killer, Alstory Simon, came forward and said she saw her husban kill the teens. Four days later, Simon confessed to the killings and two days after that Porter was released from death row, where he had spent 17 years. Source:  Capitalpunishmentincontext.org
