The thing about North Korea is that it's so mad, so gruesome that it's difficult not to believe whatever tall story you hear about it. Kim Jong-un ate a baby? The Singaporean Straits Times reports that Chinese Media reports that Kim's recently slaughtered uncle was executed not by a firing squad but by a pack of hungry dogs. According to the report, unlike previous executions of political prisoners which were carried out by firing squads with machine guns, Jang was stripped naked and thrown into a cage, along with his five closest aides. Then 120 hounds, starved for three days, were allowed to prey on them until they were completely eaten up. This is called "quan jue", or execution by dogs. The Rivers State Police Command says that it has arrested the Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr. Chidi Lloyd, for the alleged murder of Mr Kingsley Ejeuo and a police sergeant, Mr Urang Obadiah. A statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ahmad Mohammad, said that “Mr. Lloyd was arrested on his way to join the state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, in his private jet in order to escape justice”. The statement added that “Mr Lloyd knocked down Mr. Obadiah while pursuing Ejeuo, identified to be his political opponent”. According to the police, Mr. lloyd, who is still standing trial for his involvement in the fracas that took place in the Rivers State House of Assembly on July 9, 2013, was said to have rammed into Ejeuo’s Passat car with a bulletproof vehicle and killed him (Ejeo). “The Rivers State Police Command has arrested Hon. ANOTHER member of his entourage is being criminally investigated for roughing up a limo driver ... and it's the 2nd alleged attack in 2 days. Toronto cops say the limo guy was hired to drive Justin and his crew around town.  Details are sketchy, but the driver claims he was attacked.  Cops are currently investigating.  We're told Justin was in the limo at the time of the incident. Just this weekend ... 2 of JB's bodyguards were arrested after allegedly attacking a cop at a fan event in Florida.  Bieber gets a pass for this one ... he was in Canada where he snowmobiled on Saturday and attended a Toronto Maple Leafs game last night ... and was in a limo where the driver claims he was attacked. SHANGHAI -- The Chinese government is pushing for a drastic shakeout of the country's overcrowded solar cell industry, supporting only a quarter of players and practically telling the rest to get out of the business.   The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced a list of 134 producers of silicon materials, solar panels and other components of photovoltaic systems as meeting certain conditions, as measured by 2012 production, capacity utilization and technical standards. In a sector said to have more than 500 companies, the ministry's move means that three-quarters didn't make the cut -- including the core subsidiary of Suntech Power, which went bankrupt in March, and Jiangsu Shungfeng Photovoltaic Technology, Suntech's startup rescuer. These firms will not be able to get credit lines from financial institutions and thus will have a tough time borrowing, according to industry insiders. Via Ha'aretz: Israel will pay for abortions for women aged 20 to 33 regardless of circumstance starting next year, health officials said Monday, adding that they hope to make eligibility for state funding universal in the future.... The new rule opens it up for 6,300 more women to have a state-funded abortion next year, at a cost of about 16 million shekels ($4.6 million). The cost of all state-subsidized abortions is estimated at 24 million shekels a year.
